During the fall of 2020, Skyla Fuentes fell ill with COVID-19. She went from earning A’s and Bs to failing all of her subjects.

She used extra time to improve her grades to straight A’s, but now back at school, she is again having a hard time keeping up.

“I honestly don’t feel like I’m prepared,” she said. “Because of that two-year gap we had of not being on campus, I feel I lost a lot of my knowledge I had back then.”
